Metapsin Plus® is an enzyme-based dietary supplement formulated to support the body's natural response to tissue injury, inflammation, and recovery. It combines proteolytic enzymes (bromelain, trypsin, and chymotrypsin) with rutoside (rutin) and L-leucine, ingredients that have been studied for their roles in reducing inflammatory responses, supporting soft tissue healing, and promoting recovery following trauma, surgery, or musculoskeletal injuries.

The enteric coating helps protect the enzymes from gastric acid, allowing them to reach the small intestine where absorption is optimized.

• Bromelain is a pineapple-derived proteolytic enzyme that has demonstrated anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, and fibrinolytic properties. It may help reduce swelling, bruising, and postoperative discomfort.
• Trypsin and chymotrypsin are proteolytic enzymes that facilitate the removal of inflammatory proteins and cellular debris, supporting tissue repair and wound healing.
• Rutoside (rutin) is a bioflavonoid with antioxidant activity that helps stabilize capillary walls, improve microcirculation, and reduce oxidative damage.
• L-leucine is an essential amino acid that stimulates muscle protein synthesis through activation of the mTOR pathway, supporting recovery of skeletal muscle.

Clinical studies suggest that combinations of bromelain, trypsin, and rutoside may reduce postoperative inflammation, edema, pain, and support wound healing when used as an adjunct to standard medical care.
