METAPSIN PLUS PROTEOLYTIC ENZYMES FORMULA 10 ENTERIC COATED TABLETS

METAPSIN PLUS®

Enzyme-Based Dietary Supplement – Enteric-Coated Tablets

Product Description

Metapsin Plus® is an enzyme-based dietary supplement formulated to support the body's natural response to tissue injury, inflammation, and recovery. It combines proteolytic enzymes (bromelain, trypsin, and chymotrypsin) with rutoside (rutin) and L-leucine, ingredients that have been studied for their roles in reducing inflammatory responses, supporting soft tissue healing, and promoting recovery following trauma, surgery, or musculoskeletal injuries.

The enteric coating helps protect the enzymes from gastric acid, allowing them to reach the small intestine where absorption is optimized.

Active Ingredients (Per 3 Enteric-Coated Tablets)

Ingredient Amount Physiological Role
Rutoside (Rutin) 600 mg Antioxidant flavonoid; supports capillary integrity and helps reduce oxidative stress
Bromelain 540 mg Proteolytic enzyme that supports the body's inflammatory response and tissue recovery
Trypsin 246 mg Proteolytic enzyme involved in protein breakdown and tissue repair
L-Leucine 90 mg Essential branched-chain amino acid that supports muscle protein synthesis
Chymotrypsin 42 mg Proteolytic enzyme that assists in the breakdown of damaged proteins and supports tissue healing

Mechanism of Action

Metapsin Plus provides a combination of enzymes and nutrients that work through complementary mechanisms:

  • Bromelain is a pineapple-derived proteolytic enzyme that has demonstrated anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, and fibrinolytic properties. It may help reduce swelling, bruising, and postoperative discomfort.
  • Trypsin and chymotrypsin are proteolytic enzymes that facilitate the removal of inflammatory proteins and cellular debris, supporting tissue repair and wound healing.
  • Rutoside (rutin) is a bioflavonoid with antioxidant activity that helps stabilize capillary walls, improve microcirculation, and reduce oxidative damage.
  • L-leucine is an essential amino acid that stimulates muscle protein synthesis through activation of the mTOR pathway, supporting recovery of skeletal muscle.

Clinical studies suggest that combinations of bromelain, trypsin, and rutoside may reduce postoperative inflammation, edema, pain, and support wound healing when used as an adjunct to standard medical care.

Potential Benefits

When used as directed, Metapsin Plus may help:

  • Support the body's natural healing process.
  • Help reduce postoperative swelling and edema.
  • Promote recovery following musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Support soft tissue repair.
  • Help reduce bruising after trauma or surgery.
  • Support normal inflammatory resolution.
  • Promote healthy microcirculation and capillary strength.
  • Support muscle recovery through L-leucine supplementation.
  • Provide antioxidant protection against oxidative stress.

Common Uses

Metapsin Plus may be used as a nutritional adjunct for individuals experiencing:

  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Tendon and ligament injuries
  • Muscle strains
  • Bruising
  • Postoperative recovery
  • Swelling following trauma
  • Recovery after orthopedic procedures
  • General tissue repair support

It is intended to support recovery and should not replace standard medical or surgical treatment.

  • Allergy to bromelain, pineapple, or any ingredient in the product
  • Active bleeding disorders
  • Severe liver disease
  • Severe kidney disease
  • Known hypersensitivity to proteolytic enzymes

Precautions

Consult a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are taking anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban)
  • Are taking antiplatelet drugs (e.g., aspirin or clopidogrel)
  • Have a bleeding disorder
  • Have an active peptic ulcer
  • Are scheduled for surgery (discontinue according to your healthcare provider's advice)

Drug Interactions

Use with caution alongside:

  • Anticoagulants (warfarin, DOACs)
  • Antiplatelet agents
  • NSAIDs (may increase bleeding risk in susceptible individuals)
  • Some antibiotics, as bromelain may alter absorption of certain medications

Always inform your healthcare provider about all medicines and supplements you are taking.
