Active ingredient:

• Ambroxol hydrochloride: 15 mg/5 mL

Pharmacologic class: Mucolytic and expectorant agent.

Description:
MUCOPECT syrup contains Ambroxol hydrochloride, a mucolytic medicine used to facilitate the clearance of respiratory mucus in acute and chronic respiratory disorders associated with excessive or thick secretions. Ambroxol reduces mucus viscosity, improves mucus transport in the respiratory tract, and supports productive cough by helping remove accumulated secretions from the airways.

Therapeutic uses:

• Productive cough associated with thick mucus
• Acute bronchitis
• Chronic bronchitis
• Respiratory tract diseases with difficult-to-expectorate secretions
• Respiratory conditions associated with mucus accumulation

Mechanism of action:

• Mucolytic activity: Ambroxol reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions and helps liquefy thick mucus.
• Secretomotor activity: Improves movement of respiratory cilia, enhancing mucociliary clearance.
• Surfactant stimulation: Stimulates pulmonary surfactant production, decreasing mucus adherence to airway surfaces and facilitating expectoration.

• Excessive mucus production in patients with impaired cough reflex may require medical supervision.
