Medical Description – Polymer Kids Hypertonic 2.3% Nasal Spray

Polymer Kids Hypertonic 2.3% Nasal Spray is a preservative-free, non-medicated hypertonic seawater nasal spray intended for pediatric nasal hygiene and relief of nasal congestion. It contains sterile hypertonic seawater (2.3% sodium chloride) enriched with natural trace minerals such as copper and manganese. The spray works by a natural osmotic mechanism that draws excess fluid from swollen nasal mucosa, helping reduce edema, decrease mucus viscosity, and facilitate mucus clearance from the nasal cavity.

Mechanism of action

• Hypertonic saline solutions contain a higher salt concentration than normal physiologic saline (0.9%). This creates an osmotic effect that reduces swelling in the nasal mucosa.
• Helps liquefy thick secretions and supports mucociliary clearance.
• Washes away allergens, pollutants, crusts, viruses, and irritants from the nasal passages.
