Medical Description

Panadol Baby & Infant Suspension contains paracetamol 120 mg in each 5 mL. Paracetamol is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic medicine for the temporary relief of mild-to-moderate pain and reduction of fever in children.

It works primarily through central mechanisms that reduce the production of prostaglandins involved in pain and temperature regulation. Unlike NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, paracetamol has relatively little peripheral anti-inflammatory activity.

The concentration shown on the supplied package—120 mg/5 mL—is an infant/children's liquid formulation.

Therapeutic Uses
