Medical Description
MUCOSTA® contains rebamipide, a mucosal protective agent used for the treatment of gastric mucosal disorders and gastric ulcers. Rebamipide acts by enhancing the natural protective mechanisms of the gastric lining rather than primarily reducing gastric acid secretion. It helps improve gastric mucosal defense, promotes healing of damaged tissue, and reduces inflammatory processes within the gastrointestinal tract.

Mechanism of Action
Rebamipide exerts gastroprotective activity through multiple mechanisms, including:

• Increasing endogenous prostaglandin production in gastric mucosa
• Enhancing mucus glycoprotein synthesis and secretion
