When is Fluxopride Tablet prescribed for?
Heartburn, nausea and vomiting caused by chronic gastritis.
As adjuvant therapy with orally postprandial gastrointestinal lavage solution for barium enema X-ray examination
How should you take Fluxopride Tablet?
The recommended usual dosage of Fluxopride for adults is one tablet 5 mg to be melt in mouth three times daily before meals.
When must not Fluxopride Tablet be prescribed?
Fluxopride Tablet must not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the medication.
In Patients with hemorrhage or digestive blockage
Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
As no clinical studies have been performed during pregnancy & lactation, it is better not to be use during this period.
Possible Side Effects of Fluxopride Tablet
No serious adverse events were reported, however in only 2.71% of patients who had received Fluxopride for more than 2 weeks show abdominal pain, diarrhea, dry mouth, loose stools, rash, hives and loss of appetite.
Possible drug interaction with Fluxopride Tablet :
Concurrent use with anticholinergic agents (atropine, butylscopolamine bromide) decreases Fluxopride action.
Concurrent use with ketoconazole, itraconazole, macrolide antibiotics, and HIV protease inhibitors may increase plasma concentration of Fluxopride.
