Paracetamol 665 mg is an analgesic and antipyretic medication formulated in an extended-release form to provide prolonged relief. It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, thereby reducing pain and fever. The modified-release formulation ensures sustained drug levels for longer-lasting effect compared to standard paracetamol.

Indications

  • Mild to moderate pain (e.g., headache, dental pain, musculoskeletal pain)
  • Osteoarthritis pain (commonly used in chronic conditions)

Dosage

  • Adults & elderly:
    2 tablets (665 mg each) every 6–8 hours as needed
  • Maximum dose: Do not exceed 6 tablets (3990 mg) in 24 hours
  • Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or chew (due to extended-release formulation)

Warnings

  • Do not exceed the recommended dose (risk of serious liver damage)
  • Avoid use with other products containing paracetamol
